Research Interests

Health Economist with over 24 years of relevant experience in health policy, health financing, economic analysis of healthcare interventions, project management, consulting and capacity building. Well-versed in middle and low income countries health policies, in particular leadership and management of health systems and universal health coverage. Experienced in the development of research strategies for various funding partners in various country contexts.  Adept in capacity building and delivering training and technical assistance to local public sector officials. Capacity to design and conduct original economic and financial evaluations of various health care interventions.




Research interest

Advancing knowledge of resource management in healthcare by conducting research focusing on the following;

- Economic analysis of burden of disease on health systems in middle and low income countries

- Governance and accountability in resource allocation

- The role of leadership and management in efficient healthcare delivery

- Efficiency and service improvement in healthcare

- Health policy analysis (Policy, politics and transformation in healthcare)

- Data analytics, especially of healthcare financing data
