Research Interests

I am an Assistant Professor (Research) in Memory Studies, specialising in  the modern and contemporary French and Francophone context. My particular interests are the ways in which we choose to remember people, events, and things, and how we create narratives of inclusion and exclusion around them. I am interested in cultural manifestations of memory, and particularly monuments, literature, and visual culture.
