Research Interests

I research petroleum fiscal systems, with special focus on the design of fiscal regimes that support the development of hydrocarbon resources. I also research the economics of oil field development with particular interest in the characterisation of the operational environment in which oil and gas development investment projects are viable. I do also research the economics and optimal tax regimes for unconventional oil and gas resources, with special interest in shale gas and coalbed methane, CBM. I do research the economics of, and fiscal policy implications, of oil and gas field decommissioning, crude oil and petroleum product price, Joint ventures and venture strategy and efficiency among oil and gas exploration companies.
