Personal profile

I am a committed scholar with a doctorate and over 18 years of experience in the UK and previously in Chinese higher education institutions, teaching and supervising undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. students from various social and cultural backgrounds. I can deliver the subject matter to inspire and engage students who are from diverse backgrounds and experiences. My teaching uses new education techniques and modern technology aids such as flipped learning, Socrative, Sway, Padlet, online questionnaire, simulation software, social media virtual learning environment, etc. I apply research-informed topics and updated knowledge in industries. My teaching skills and practices seek to enhance students’ overall university experience and create a healthier and less stressful learning environment. My teaching subjects span the fields of International Business and Global Strategy, Corporate and Business Strategy, Business Management, Operation Management, Organisational Behaviour, and Management in Cross-culture Management and International Business. I have been leading relevant modules, involved in designing teaching materials and assessment, delivering lectures and seminars, marking and supporting other modules in the course teams.

I am a highly self-motivated and active researcher. I develop and lead new research projects every year and, at the same time, involved in others’ projects as a team player. I also actively disseminate my research and outputs, e.g., presenting and chairing at international conferences, posting on social media, presenting my research as a guest lecturer at external universities. I have published papers in high impact journals; developed a healthy research publication pipeline. I have experienced in funding applications and been the principal investigator for Coventry University’s internal grant and won a National Social Science Foundation of China in 2019 as the co-investigator. I am working for inactive and stable research teams, and my team members are from multiple cultures and cross-disciplinary backgrounds. These are positive for a healthy research lifestyle, which is more likely to associate with promising and high impact research outputs.

I have publications in high impact journals such as the Journal of Business Research, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, Production Planning & Control, and Journal of Cleaner Production. I am a team player and have a proven ability to deliver projects within tight deadlines and achieve challenging goals successfully.
