    Since March 2019, Dr Donato Vozza is Research Associate at the Centre for Financial and Corporate Integrity (CFCI) of Coventry University (CU) where he is undertaking advanced legal empirical research on transnational financial crimes.

    Currently, he is Researcher of the EU-funded H2020 PROTAX project aimed at generating policy guidelines to harmonise the treatment of tax crimes and enhance information sharing across the EU Member States.

    Dr Vozza is also Guest Researcher at the Research Center for International Cooperation regarding Persons Sought for Corruption and Asset Recovery in the G20 Member States since 2017.

    Previously, he holds a PhD in Internationalisation of Criminal Policy (2013) and conducted legal research at the Centre for Research on Criminal Justice and Policy (CSGP) of the Catholic University of Milan, the Center for Prevention and Social Defense (CNPDS), the College for Criminal Law Science (CCLS) of Beijing Normal University (BNU), and the University of Naples II (SUN) (2014 - 2018).

    Dr Vozza served as Visiting Scholar in some of the most prestigious centres and institutions specialised on international and comparative criminal law, including the College for Criminal Law Science of Beijing Normal University (China) and the Max Planck Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law (Germany).

    As an Associate Attorney of the White-Collar Crime and Business Integrity Unit (Rome, Italy) of a renowned international law firm, he advised clients on corporate liability and compliance programs. During his professional career, he advised international private equity firms and companies on some of the most important and complex M&A transactions and equity offerings. Moreover, he assisted clients with the applications to the European Court of Human Rights.

    As a representative of the International Scientific and Professional Advisory Council of the United Nations Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice Programme (ISPAC), he took part to the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) Expert group meeting on effective management and disposal of seized and confiscated assets.

    He is member of the International Association of Penal Law (AIDP) and the Association of Italian Scientists in the UK. He took part in the organisation of the AIDP XX World Congress of Penal Law on "Criminal Justice and Corporate Business" (2019) and AIDP Conferences organised by the AIDP - Junior Researchers on International and EU Criminal Law (2014-2018).

    Dr Vozza has published journal articles, book chapters, conference proceedings and projects reports (in English, French, Chinese and Italian) in the following areas:
