    Biography

    Dr Dimitar Angelov is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Academic Writing and a Research Associate at the Institute for Global Education at Coventry University (CU), UK. As a specialist in academic writing and writing for publication with a wide-ranging experience in researcher development in the UK and internationally, he has led on conceptualising and delivering innovative researcher development interventions targeted at Early-, Mid-Career and Senior Researchers. Dr Angelov manages a team of academic writing developers and tutors at CU and its subsidiaries, and has overseen the growth and diversification of the institution’s student and staff support provision. His research interests focus on practices, policy frameworks and ethics regulating transnational higher-education partnerships between institutions in the Global North and the Global South; academic-writing consultants’ training and management; online pedagogies in HE, especially in the context of new media and multimodality. Dr Angelov is currently working on a co-authored monograph exploring the theory and practice of multimodal research and pedagogy. He holds a PhD in literary studies from the University of Warwick.
