    Biography

    Dr Dimitar Angelov is an Assistant Professor at Coventry University’s Research Centre for Global Learning (GLEA). As a specialist in academic writing and writing for publication, he has led on conceptualising and delivering innovative researcher development interventions targeted at Early-, Mid-Career and Senior Researchers in the UK and internationally. Dr Angelov’s research interests focus on practices, policy frameworks and ethics regulating transnational higher-education partnerships between institutions in the Global North and the Global South; academic-writing consultants’ training and management; online pedagogies in HE, especially in the context of new media and multimodality.

    Prior to joining GLEA, Dr Angelov managed a team of academic writing tutors and developers at Coventry University’s Centre for Academic Writing (CAW) and across the university’s subsidiaries. In his role at CAW, he oversaw the growth and diversification of the institution’s student- and staff-support provision, and served as Course Director for Europe’s first master’s degree in academic writing.

    Dr Angelov holds a PhD in literary studies from the University of Warwick.
