    Research Interests

My research interest is primarily British political press history in the post-war period, however I am also interested in other aspects of 20th century British history.

    Biography

I completed my undergraduate degree at Coventry University, after which I went to the University of Warwick to study for a Master's, before returning to Coventry to study for my PhD. All three of my dissertations have concerned the political press in 20th century Britain, ranging from 1918-1955. I have a wide range of historical interests and recently assisted in lecturing two modules for the faculty of arts and humanities at Coventry University: Globalisation, and Nations and Nationalism.

    PhD Project

My PhD project is titled: Press, Politics and the Post-War Conservative Consensus: 1951-55. In this project, I will be looking at four newspapers from across the political spectrum in order to determine what impact, if any, the press had on the results of these two elections.
