Biography
Lecturer in Cloud Computing at CU Coventry (Full-Time)
During the course of my employment at Coventry University Group, I have led the development and approval of the Cloud Computing BSc(Hons) course developed in collaboration in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Educate. During this process I was engaging attaining my FHEA status through the PgCAPHE program this ran simultaneously to the degree design process and I was particularly interested in the design of modules to enhance student engagement.
My experience in teaching/programming covers C#, Java, Node.Js, React and React Native building Web applications connected to Relational (T-SQL, MySQL and Oracle SQL) and Non-Relational Databases (DynamoDB). During my MA I also used R to perform sentiment analysis and used Quantitative Content Analysis tools (Twitter Content Analysis Tool TCAT) to examine social media events. Additionally, I also teach cloud skills in serverless computing AWS Lambda(FaaS), NoSQL using DynamoDB, REST APIs using API Gateway and Elastic Computing (EBS, VPC, EC2, S3 & Elastic Beanstalk).
My PhD research currently being conducted titled "Measuring, Understanding, and Improving Student Engagement in Programming Teaching" involves leveraging machine learning algorithms to analyze data from learning analytics platforms. The study aims to identify factors affecting student engagement in programming courses and develop strategies to enhance it by examining data from platforms like Codio, isolating challenging tasks, and applying algorithms to predict and improve engagement and performance.
