    Research Interests

    My work focuses on battery energy storage system and includes design of experiment for battery characterisation, model and simulation, parameter optimisation, adaptive state and parameter estimation and control algorithms.

    Biography

    Dr Zhang got his PhD degree from Queen's University Belfast in 2016. After that he worked as a post-doc research fellow in WMG, University of Warwick and Imperial College London, before joining Coventry University as Assistant professor in Dec 2019. 

    Vision Statement

    Dr Zhang aims to improve utilisation efficiency and service life of battery energy storage systems through novel research in battery management algorithms.
