    Personal profile

I am Principal Lecturer in Sport Management and Course Director for the postgraduate courses in Sport and Event Management which I led through course approval and re-approval. I have taught on a broad range of modules at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a focus on Sport organisation and governance and Sport Finance. Before joining Coventry in 2010, I taught in France at University Paris X, ESSEC and Reims Management School and have delivered guest lectures in several universities across Europe (IE, Spain; University Montpellier 1, France; HI Molde, Norway etc). I have also been visiting Research Fellow at Birkbeck College and Copenhagen Business School.

My research focuses on institutional change and increased commercialisation of sport, and the impact it has on clubs, management and governance. I have co-edited a book on the organization and governance of top football across Europe (2011), published articles on the governance and organisation of sport in various academic journals, and presented more than 25 conference papers. I have been programme chair for the SIG ‘Managing Sport’ for the European Academy of Management (EURAM) and co-chair of workshops at EURAM and EGOS (European Group for Organisation Studies), and chaired the organising committee of the European Association for Sport Management (EASM) Conference in 2014. I am a regular reviewer for the leading academic journals in sport management.
