Biography

 

I am an Assistant Professor in Sport Management at Coventry University. I have research interests in the fields of sport, culture, and politics and have published articles in European Sport Management Quarterly, International Journal of Sport Policy and Politics, International Review for the Sociology of Sport, Sport in Society, Soccer and Society, and Sociological Research Online. I also have an interest in innovative pedagogy and have published in Research in Post-Compulsory Education.

I was previously a Lecturer in Public Services and a Research Assistant in the Centre for the Study of Football and its Communities, Manchester Metropolitan University. I've also worked in teaching and research positions at Kingston University and the University of Central Lancashire.

 

Research:

I am currently researching a number of sport-related topics. These include the impact of austerity measures on sport organisations, the use of sport in political campaigns, sport and sustainability, and the relationship between sport and other forms of culture.
