Biography
Anitha is a Senior Lecturer in Cyber Security Management at the Business School in Coventry University. As Course Director for the MBA Cyber Security program, she manages the leadership, organisation and successful delivery of the course. Anitha is also the School Ethics leader leading the ethical reviews, procedures and ethical decision making, in addition to fostering a positive ethical environment and culture throughout the school. As a link tutor for the BA Business Administration course for the EAU, she continues to work collaboratively with overseas partner teaching institutions. Anitha has a PhD in Computing and Information systems, a BEng (Hons) in Instrumentation and Electronics and a MSc in Health Informatics. With a strong background & experience in Information Systems, she is involved in research that pertains to data and information management relating to social computing and is a Research Associate with the Centre for Business in Society (CBiS). Her work on the GIS based Environmental Health Information Systems is well-received and has resulted in a number of publications and media outputs. She continues to work on the related research from collaborators within the UK and international partners from India, Philippines, Vietnam, USA to name a few.
Anitha has previously worked for the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing where she was responsible for leading and teaching UG and PG modules including Business Information Systems, Business Computing, Decision Support Systems, Big Data Management and Ubiquitous Computing. In addition, she has extensive experience of working in the Industry including the city council and government agencies. She also holds a PgCERT in Higher Education and is a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy.
