Amanda is a Ph.D. holder in Epidemiology with over 15 years’ experience in the field of Public Health. She has a strong background in intervention design, service evaluation, and evidence synthesis. She is an Associate Member of the Faculty of Public Health of the Royal Colleges of Physicians and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). She completed her first degree in Human Nutrition at Rio de Janeiro State University in Brazil. In 2001, she did a postgraduate training in Nutrition & Infectious Diseases at the Evandro Chagas Hospital/ Research Centre in Brazil. In 2006, she completed an exchange PhD programme in Sweden (Obesity Unit at Karolinska Institute). Having previously worked at a number of higher education institutions both nationally and internationally, she maintains a wide network of collaborations in Denmark, Brazil, the USA and the UK. She obtained her PgCert in Higher Education from the University of Westminster. |
