Research Output per year
I am a Course Director for BA English and Creative Writing. I write poetry, short stories, and have published materials for education. As Faculty Teaching Fellow, I am encouraging the use of creative assessment across the University, and I am now working with members of staff from Law, Geography Environment and Disaster Management, International Studies and Social Science, and Health and Life Sciences. I recently published an anthology of poetry, a short story for Cutalongstory (CUT), and I edit Coventry Words, a yearly creative writing magazine for students. I am an active member of the National Association of Writers in Education (NAWE), and Writing West Midlands (WWM). I am also responsible for the Frederick Holland Poetry Collection Award, an annual competition for students at Coventry University, who can win £1000 for their poetry. I received a Distinction for my MA in Creative Writing, and I am now studying for a PhD at Leicester in historical creative non-fiction.
Current research activities include creative assessment and fiction vs. creative non-fiction.
