I have a record of academic publication and conference presentations in learning and teaching in statistics and the national lead for the virtual online statistics support centre called statstutor. I am also Chair of the national steering committee for the sigma Network (www.sigma-network.ac.uk) which promotes excellence in mathematics and statistics support. In addition I co-ordinate the sigma Network’s Statistics Support Special Interest Group, and I am editor of the learning and teaching publication MSOR Connections for the MOSR subject in HE (https://journals.gre.ac.uk/index.php/msor).

My research interests also include statistical modelling in sport. This include sports analytics, Bayesian dynamic prediction modelling in sport, and the impact of different surfaces in sport. I am also a member of the international organising committee for the bi-annual MathSport International conference (http://www.mathsportinternational.com), and a founder member of the Royal Statistical Society’s Statistics in Sport Section.
