    Biography

    Alex Dorgan was awarded a BA in Philosophy, Politics & Economics from Oxford University, an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London, and received her PhD in Human Geography from the University of Sheffield.

    In the early stages of her career, Alex worked as an independent research consultant for various organisations, contributing to a range of projects focused on climate resilience, sustainable development, and social and environmental issues. For the past five years, Alex has worked in frontline sexual violence support services, gaining experience in both direct service delivery and management.

    Alex joined Coventry University in 2025 as a KTP Associate with NHS England, aiming to translate research findings from the MESARCH project into tangible improvements in policy and practice for survivors of sexual violence. The MESARCH project (NIHR 2018-23) was an evaluation of sexual assault referral centres across England and examined health, wellbeing and service access among child and adult survivors of sexual violence and abuse.
