    Profile

    Alain joined EFA on Monday 6th January 2020 as Lecturer in Finance. Prior to this appointment, Alain worked consecutively as Teaching Fellow at Queen Mary University of London and Lecturer in Finance at University of Welsh Trinity St David. Since 2014 Alain has been teaching a variety of finance modules at all levels for the School of Business and Management and the School of Mathematical Sciences at Queen Mary University. Alain is an alumnus of Coventry university where he graduated with a Master's degree in Investment Management in 2012. He has an excellent background in both econometric methodology and programming. Alain was nominated for the American Finance Association Doctoral Grant due to his extremely successful work during his Ph.D. studies. He was awarded the EBES Best Paper Award at the 28th annual Conference 2019. Alain’s PhD. was funded jointly by Queen Mary University of London and the Behavioural Finance Working Group. He also received the University of London 2016 Postgraduate Research Fund, the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs Grants, and the Behavioural Finance Working Group Conference fee waiver in 2014, 2015, and 2016 Sponsored by the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales. Alain’s recent research works explore the profitability of Momentum and Contrarian Strategies. He has presented his work at the Behavioural Finance Working Group Conferences, the Third Tunisian Society for Financial Studies conference, the 2016 Midwest Finance Association in Atlanta, the BAFA annual and Doctoral conference, the Ph.D. symposium at Queen Mary University of London, the European Financial Management Association conference in Basel and 28th EBES conference.

    Before joining Queen Mary University of London, He worked as Market Analyst at Franchising Way-Italy, and as Private Financial Trader. He was also involved in conferences and workshops in Frankfurt Stock Exchange and the European Central Bank in Germany.

    Alain specialises in Asset pricing; Behavioural Finance; Housing Market; Banking Efficiency; Portfolio Management; International Financial Markets; Corporate Social Responsibility.
