Biography
Ahmadreza is an architect, urbanist, researcher and educator with qualifications in research, architecture, spatial planning and urban design. He completed his PhD in Built Environment in 2018. As an architect, he has previously worked in the Middle East in a number of multidisciplinary architecture and design practices. Prior to joining the Coventry University in 2020, he has taught at places such as University of West London and University of Westminster.
He is Lecturer in Architecture and Urban Studies based at the School of Energy, Construction and Environment and teaches on subjects including: Urban Design and Planning; History of Art and Architecture; Theoretical Context of Architecture; Comprehensive Design and so on.
His research interests centre around critical urban studies, urban and architectural history, critical urban theory, urban sociology; and sociopolitics of placemaking, architecture and cities.
