Biography
Adegoke is an academic and a consulting civil and structural engineer who has extensive interest and expertise in the application of computational methods to resilient, reliable and sustainable infrastructure. He is adept at facilitating trainings and providing consultancies in artificial intelligence and exploratory data analysis, probe and remote sensing, material efficiency and digital innovation in construction engineering, thus fostering knowledge transfer partnership with various academic and private organisations. He has accrued considerable leadership and management experience in the roles of research and development, teaching and learning, award management and development, quality enhancement, and academic administration at a number of higher education institutes in the UK and abroad. Adegoke is currently an assistant professor of Civil Engineering and the director of postgraduate civil engineering suite of courses at Coventry University, Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing. He is a Fellow of Higher Education Academy. He has also led and acted as visiting and external subject expert, having worked with University of Greenwich, University of Wolverhampton and Middle East College Oman by ensuring that the development of new academic programmes (including apprenticeship) and the revision of existing curricula are up to standard, geared to enhancing the quality of the student experience, maximise internationalisation of academic content, and in tandem with appropriate professional/accreditation body requirements. This exposure has augmented his versatile ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds and settings. And having built reputable strong research and consulting collaborations with academic and private organisations in civil & structural engineering within UK, Europe, China and Africa for more than nineteen years, Dr Adegoke continues to ensure that dissemination of knowledge stays true to his aspirations.
