Adam is an Associate Head of the School of Psychological, Social and Behavioural Sciences at Coventry University. His research interests primarily focus on LGBT issues and he uses qualitative methods to conduct social psychological research. Adam is a Chartered Psychologist (CPsychol.) and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society (AFBPsS). He is Chair of the BPS Psychology of Sexualities Section, a BPS representative for the International Psychology Network for LGBTI issues and is on the committee of the International Society for Critical Health Psychology. He is an Associate Editor of Psychology & Sexuality and former Editor of Psychology of Sexualities Review.

Vision Statement

Adam is a critical social psychologist with research interests in human sexuality, prejudice and social aspects of health and illness. His research expertise and experience lie in qualitative research methods. Adam teaches social psychology and qualitative research methods on various modules across the undergraduate and postgraduate psychology courses at Coventry. He welcomes queries from students who share his research interests or academics from other institutions wishing to collaborate.
