Biography

Babatunde Abiola received his B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Computer Science from Bowen University, Iwo, Nigeria in 2011. He proceeded to work in the Information Technology industry in Nigeria where he developed and perfected many skills including process automation, cloud computing, systems administration, application support, business intelligence and analytics before he received his M.Sc. in Data Science and Computational Intelligence at Coventry University in 2020.

He is currently pursuing his Ph.D with the Research Centre for Computational Science and Mathematical Modelling at Coventry University, United Kingdom.

Metaheuristic algorithms, Optimization, Machine Learning, Operations Research, Set Covering Problem

PhD Project

Exploiting Domain Structures in Heuristic Algorithms for the Set Covering Problem.

This research explores the set covering problem (SCP) as an NP-hard problem, the variants of SCP, the methods proposed to solve the problem, and gaps in the existing solutions that have been provided which need
further research.
