Press/Media: Other

Description

Drawing both on my personal community experience and the early stages of my doctoral research, this piece explores some of the societal narratives around poverty in the UK, and offers a critique of responses that stigmatise or blame individuals for their experiences of hardship while disregarding structural factors. It offers examples of grassroots initiatives that place a focus on upholding people's dignity, personhood and agency.
