How university consortia can reframe internationalisation

Is your university part of an alliance, network, or consortium?

In East Asian cultures, there’s a saying: a single chopstick is fragile, but a bundle is unbreakable. This idea has inspired the formation of 10 UK–East Asia university consortia over the past decade.

Drawing on the UK-SEA PEER project, this short article asks how these consortia navigate cultural and geopolitical challenges to reframe internationalisation of higher education - while staying resilient and relevant in an evolving global landscape.
