Majdi Fanous participated in the Second Expert Forum for Producers and Users of Disaster-related Statistics organised by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia between 6 - 8 September 2022 held in Beirut and online. The forum's key objective was to establish a mechanism to enable national and international collaboration and coordination through forming a network of experts on disaster-related statistics work. Majdi gave an oral presentation about the use of machine learning for flood risk control and climate change impact mitigation.
