    Description

    I was at the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) lecturing senior academic staff from Kabul University on Islamic Feminism. This was part of a UNDP sponsored workshops on ‘Gender and Women: Theories, Perspectives and Research for Policy’. The workshop was chaired by Professor Nishi Mitra vom Berg (Director of the Advanced Centre for Women’s Studies, TISS) and was led by a number of women’s studies and feminist scholars from TISS. It is planned that the workshop will lead to the development of a Gender Institute at Kabul University.
