Description

Reflecting on life behind the Iron Curtain in 1968 and its censorship, creative resistance, underground activism, popular culture, suppressed music and art scenes.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall and revolutions of 1989... Georgiou and Tolley attempt to reflect on the Art of Resistance, if not re-evaluate the socio political situation in post-Soviet countries. Exploring how the West today is more widely influenced by the counter cultural history of Eastern Europe's post-war ‘Cold War’.
