Description

Building Trust in the Evaluations of P/CVE Programmes

Paper delivered in this session:
How can ‘evaluations’ be done to really meet the needs of policy makers and practitioners in the field? How can we engage to improve both how evaluations are done (approaches, methods, practices) and ‘utilisation’ of evaluation results in ways that lead to ‘learning’ and ‘improvement’ in policy and practice? Identify at least 5 – 8 ‘recommendations’ from your group for how to improve the practice, implementation and use of evidence-based evaluation in the P/CVE and De-radicalisation fields – including how to improve using evidence in the development of policy and practice and building evaluative practice into the field. For each recommendation, identify and discuss why it is important and what practical benefit / value you believe it would bring to the field.
