Description

This talk explores the institutionalization of gender and broader diversity dimensions within the PRO-CLIMATE project through the implementation of the Gender Dimension Plan (GDP), a critical deliverable aimed at fostering inclusivity and equity in climate research. Recognizing the intersections between climate challenges and societal inequalities, PRO-CLIMATE has embedded gender-sensitive and diversity-aware frameworks into all stages of the project, from conceptualization to dissemination. The approach ensures that inclusivity is not limited to internal consortium dynamics but extends to stakeholder engagement and the broader societal impacts of the project. By weaving gender and diversity considerations into research methodologies, decision-making processes, and communication strategies, PRO-CLIMATE sets a precedent for integrating social dimensions into environmental research. This deliverable highlights actionable insights, challenges, and best practices that contribute to a more equitable and impactful climate research paradigm. The findings underscore the value of inclusive frameworks in enhancing the relevance, accessibility, and effectiveness of climate-related initiatives.
