this conference focuses on Guyana and it's substantial oil discovery. How can it mitigate the economic dangers and risks associated with such a find? How can the nation maintain institutional stability where so many others have struggled? Furthermore, in a time where the impact of the fossil fuel industry on the environment and climate is becoming more apparent, how can the nation balance its obligations to the global environment but maintain a commitment to use their wealth development and growth. The three streams within the conference will focus upon 3 areas; Economic and Institutional development, Environmental Protection and Issues of local content.
