Description

Live YouTube interview with 'The Curious Geographer'
(?) What is fast fashion?
(?) What are the human costs of fast fashion?
(?) What are the environmental costs?
(?) How can a move towards sustainable & ethical fashion practices reduce the impacts?

On Monday 23rd January (6:00 pm GMT) we are going LIVE with Dr Amber Martin-Woodhead from Coventry University to investigate fast fashion. Clothing production is the third biggest manufacturing industry as textiles and clothing are manufactured, transported and sold globally. However, every year UK families throw away 300,000 tonnes of clothing. We will discuss the human and environmental costs of fast fashion from production to disposal, and then explore how consumers and retailers can move towards sustainable and ethical fashion solutions.
