Sahla was invited by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia to participate in an Expert Group Meeting in Beirut on State-building and Institutional Development in Post-Conflict Settings: Opportunities and Challenges in Yemen and Libya. The two-days discussion was organised by the United Nations in an effort to set up a strategy for post conflict reconstruction in Libya and Yemen. The Expert Group Meeting involved high level political elites and key stakeholders in the national dialogue in Libya and Yemen alongside a number of renowned international experts in the area of peace negotiations and post conflict reconstruction. As an Expert on women, Peace and Security, Sahla has delivered a presentation on the impact of conflict on women's related institutions.
