Our session focused on an open debate about the underpinnings and purposes of Internatioanalisation of the curriculum (IoC) with reflections about Coventry University's practices. We discussed some of the key challenges and enablers for IoC, including the need to promote critical review of current practices and ways to offer an important space for reflective practice and curricular re-visioning. Positive enablers are both top-down and bottom-up and include embedding IoC into corporate and education strategies, as well as considering the way academic developers can engage with academics ‘heads and hearts’ within their teaching/programme teams at the discipline level.
