Description
My research is interested in looking at ADHD from a child’s perspective, to explore what ADHD means to them, how it affects them in their everyday life, and what they think teachers can do to help them in the classroom. This talk will share some of these research findings before focusing on one particular project. This project involved working with children experiencing attentional difficulties and their teachers to identify what aspects of school they found most difficult. The aim of the project was to increase knowledge and awareness of the difficulties being experienced, and to implement classroom and individual strategies to support these difficulties in a more positive way.
