The UK-India Agricultural Ecology Initiative objectives are to 1) ensure that ecological principles are integrated into agriculture and the food system, supported by sound evidence. 2) promote the learning (and love) of ecology and biodiversity into all parts of society. It will: support a community of scientists and practitioners in contributing to consultations around ecology and agriculture; seek to demonstrate the importance of an integrated approach to agriculture in which ecology is strategically embedded; drive policy with evidence, through: supporting the production of publications and working papers; facilitating engagement with policy makers domestically and internationally; facilitating international conferences and workshops; sharing news of projects and initiatives via a range of traditional and social media.
