Description

Researcher in schools within the “Researchers in School - Brilliant Club”, an award winning charity that exists to widen access to highly-selective universities for pupils from under-represented groups. In this programme:
I. I delivered university-style tutorials to small groups of pupils, Year 6-Year 12, which developed the knowledge, skills and ambition that help those pupils to secure places at highly-selective universities.
II. I designed the course handbook “Can we find a solution to urban flooding in UK?”, based on the research I am conducting at the University of Sheffield, considering that pupils had diverse learning approaches and that those selected have demonstrated academic ability but have parents with no history of higher education and 33% of them being eligible for free school meals.
III. I planned and designed learning activities using audio-visual and experimental tests adapting and editing them for the different proficiency levels.
