Invited presentation at a webinar to present on my research related to the barriers that female officials face, initiatives in place to combat discrimination against female officials / referees. The presentation addressed gender equality in officiating, the barriers / problems that female officials in sports face, (gender stereotypes and bias; lack of representation and role models; opportunities for advancement; mentorship; work-life balance; harassment and disrespect; cultural and social expectations) and the main findings of the WINS project (key recommendations coming from the research which could help to facilitate gender equality in officiating).
