Description
The Workshop is a part of the British Council / UKIERI funded project“Development of AI based framework for the prediction of Hydrogen Embrittlement
failure on welded and 3D printed parts”. It is a colloboration between Coventry
University (CU) and Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT).
About Workshop
Introduction to Hydrogen and H2E: Learn about Hydrogen and Hydrogen
Embrittlement (H2E), a phenomenon that reduces material ductility and causes
mechanical damage due to hydrogen atom penetration.
Impact on Materials and Manufacturing : Discover how H2E affects various materials, and manufacturing processes, including stainless steels, aluminum
alloys, and carbon fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRP’s).
Digital Twins & Hydrogen Industry : Learn about digital twins and it will help
to how to scale up hydrogen production.
AI in H2E Prediction : Learn how Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning
can predict failures / H2E, enhancing safety and efficiency in hydrogen
transportation systems focussing materials, and manufacturing processes.
Challenges in Hydrogen Production Transportation and Usage : Understand
the critical issues in hydrogen production, usage transportation, along
with potential catastrophic failures and hydrogen leakage.
Prevention and Recovery : Explore strategies for preventing H2E and methods for recovering from failures.
